"My husband and I had lived on the Big Island since 2002, and finished up our careers as finish carpenters at the resorts along the Kona/Kohala coast. In our spare time, we worked on our dream home, which took about 10 years to complete. We put our hearts and souls into it, but a potential health problem caused us to make the difficult decision to move to the mainland to be closer to the kids. We actually interviewed several real estate agents, some that we had worked with in the past, and we also included Stacy because a friend had pointed out that her "For Sale" signs were frequently and quickly topped with "Sold" signs.
